About S9 Soniscan Mould Scanning Machine
Sonicam S9 is a highly accurate 3D scanning machine which has numerous applications in the mould shop and beyond. Its primary use is to scan moulds, blanks and plungers and automatically compare to the pre-loaded 3D drawing. The results show which areas of the scanned item are in, out or close to tolerance making it easy to see what equipment can be used for production. The machine also has the possibility to scan 2 sides of a mould and a baffle and stitch all images together to create a 3D image of the bottle that the mould would create. This image can be saved and printed on a 3D printer which is of interest to designers. Finished bottles can also be scanned for dimensional inspection purposes.
