About Shear Blades
Our shear blades are subjected to a unique hardening process which hardens the entire blade and creates a spring effect. While in production, these blades will spring back to their set position rather than bending meaning they can run for weeks at a time without the need for adjustment. A wide variety of sizes, profiles and features are available and re-grinds are also possible giving multiple lifetimes from one shear blade.
For longer production runs, Tungsten carbide blades are available. These last up to 3 months and like the standard blades do not need adjusting after initial set up. They are also insulated at the fixing end to prevent against spark erosion, increasing lifetime even more
